They are supposed to send a confirmation shortly after booking and they only do that if you are current on your maintenance fees and taxes. I would call them asap to confirm you do have a reservation and ask them to send you an email, with details of said reservation. Typically I have been told to call/contact them a month before coming, especially if you have any special requests regarding your room etc.

Jeff of Redweek, since this topic of buying/selling/giving back the TMC timeshare seems a hot topic right now, I hope that too will be added to the agenda for the August 2 meeting. Just to inform and get everyone on the same page...that there is no buying, selling or turning back the units to the club while the investigation proceeds and until perhaps the AG makes another ruling on that or the situation hopefully gets resolved to all our benefit.

I am an frustrated owner and have just started following the forum. Thanks to everyone for boasting and to the organizers for their work. It helps to know i am not alone. Can't make tomorrow's meeting but will send letter to attorney general as suggested.

Thanks to the 150 owners who traveled many miles to attend our TMC owners meeting today in Manhattan. Your intensity and and enthusiasm was remarkable. Also thanks to our panelists, attorney Douglas Wasser and timeshare resale researcher Bob Schmidt for giving us perspectives on the AG's legal investigation and resale activity at the club. I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of you who frequently post comments on these pages --- including Chris, Corinne, Irene and Michelle. Our co-sponsors, TimeSharing Today and National Timeshare Owners Association, played a critical role in making today a success, so thanks to them as well.
We will post slides from the presentation plus audio files of the major conversations in short order so other owners can review what transpired. Finally, please post your own comments about the session to spread the word about today's event.

For those of us who could not attend, thank you for arranging this meeting. Please post, as you say, any audio for us to hear on the topics of resales and maintenance dues, plus any estimate of time when the legal issues will be resolved. The cloud over the MC is causing many problems.

Jeff I want to thank you for arranging the meeting Sunday! It was great putting faces to the people on Redweek. I walked away feeling a little more confident that the the AG will continue to take down the scum behind all the fraudulent sales of TMC. I am still hoping that all of us owners get some kind of restitution in this mess. It was great meeting Doug Wasser also. I had no problem writing him a check for $500 when I saw how on top of this AG investigation he is. He dominated the meeting with explaining what has been going on, and answered most of our concerns. For all on Redweek that doubted Gregs agenda, after listen to him you can see he has spent a great deal of time on this case. You all gave me hope! This man behind TMC is another Bernie Madoff. Hope he goes down the same path along with his family and his co scum!
Jeff I left a little early as I had to catch train so I emailed the letter that I received from TMC back in 2013. Hope it is of interest to you.

Jeff: Nancy & I drove into Manhattan Sunday from Connecticut for the seminar, hoping it wasn't the waste of a lovely Sunday afternoon. We found it to be well organized, enthusiastically presented and very informative. It's nice to know we are not the only frustrated TMC owners, with difficulties getting reservations, increasingly exorbitant maintenance fees and no where to go for reasonable resales. We have owned since 2003 and are ready to sell our share. Thanks again for arranging the meeting.

Traveled from Baltimore for the meeting on 8/2. Certainly worth our time as we now have much more confidence that good progress is being made by the NYAG towards a positive solution for those of us who are frustrated owners. Thanks to Jeff, Doug, Shep, Greg, Tracey, & Bob for a great job organizing, leading, and explaining. We need to stay united and continue to communicte in order to use this energy to ensure an equitable solution - though it could take some time. dave & robin

Living out of state did not make it possible to attend the meeting. I will be interested in reading whatever details are given to inform me as to the proceedings. I am pleased of the support that so far as been given to rectify this unfortunate situation. A big thank you to Red Week and all others for arranging this meeting, which sounds informative and encouraging . Keep up the good work and let's get more owners involved, to keep the pressure on management.
Regards, Hank

Good to hear that the meeting went well. Sorry but we are in Vancouver, Canada and could not attend. Looking forward to seeing any presentation materials, recordings etc. It is very hard to keep a handle on this mess from this distance. Good to read a few 'positive' postings for a change. To all of you that have been working on behalf of all owners in helping to sort out this mess, let me just say that your time and efforts are MUCH APPRECIATED.

Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the Aug. 2nd meeting. A special thanks to Red Week and those of you who have been organized way before we recently became aware of this forum.
My husband and I bought our time share in August 2001 and had a great "honeymoon" period when all was well and we could get our allotted time. That soon changed and own concerns soon turned into complaints which were met with enticement from the "staff" to buy more weeks to "secure" our requests which, of course, we did not do and made us angry at the deceit! I have responded to the AG survey and shared this information accordingly. Is that sufficient as a registered complaint or is a separate letter also needed?
We feel we have been bilked with a smoke and mirrors explanations till we found this forum. We would like to get this mess straightened out!
We are a bit unclear about paying the maintenance dues or not as we have a December time secured for our family to enjoy NYC. ( This is a first time in years we have gotten some time.) We would appreciate some advice on how this is best handled.

I'm an Owner at TMC and unfortunately, could not attend the Owners Meetings on August 2.
I, however did receive a call from Daniele fro Financial Services Department looking to collect maintenance fees from 2014 and property taxes. We paid our property taxes, as we did not want to get in trouble with the IRS. She was insisting that we are obligated to pay maintenance fees that are over due. I will not pay the Manhattan Club another cent until this situation is rectified to our satisfaction. We have tried to sell back timeshare, give back timeshare and to no avail.
The only thing TMC has tried to do is bulk us for more money through one program of theirs or another over the years with buying more weeks, upgrading, converting to points etc.
I look forward to reading about how things went at the Owners meeting. Do you think there will be other meetings to participate in regarding the AG office or owners?
Thank you all for your tremendous efforts in bringing these crooks down!
