Actually, after I got home from purchasing their bogus plan, I called my credit card (visa) and told them the whole story. They put a 30 day hold on my card and I promptly returned the D.G. notebook with my letter of cancelation within their 3-day cancelation period. I sent it certified to be sure it was received. That was back in May. They never contacted me or tried to charge my credit card again. I guess if you wrote them a check, that is another story.

Actually she's not a fake . . . I got a refund, too. She's not saying that they are not SCAMMERS, because they are. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint and I had to jump through hoops, even got harassing phone calls from them, just to get my refund. I've been letting people know about thier phony business and you should too. They need to be stopped!!!

I've gotten TWO refunds via internet fraud (not pertaining to timeshares) thanks to the attorneys general in the states of GA and VA. Why would I lie about something like that?

JayJay...you seem to get scammed alot, are you just here for abuse? Quit passing your money around the world...keep it in your pocket where it's safe. I never do this, it's been since May that this has been going on....I just want others to get their money back like I did.

Once I was scammed by a penny auction site. You have to give them a credit card # when you register just to see what they have to offer in their auctions even if you've never bid on or won anything .... all internet penny auctions are scams.

The other time I was scammed by a plant nursery that was supposedly family owned and operated but they sent me the wrong plants (over $70 worth). After many calls and emails that they ignored, I then wrote the attorney general in the state the nursery was located plus many other consumer advocate agency sites. The AG then contacted the nursery and they promptly refunded $70 to my credit card. I NEVER give up.

I have learned a valuable lesson though .... I no longer do internet business with just anybody that sounds legit or has the lowest price .... I do business with WalMart.com (a lot of the merchandise they offer online is not in their stores), Amazon.com, Overstock.com and other internet companies that have proven to be legit and reputable.

I went to listen to a presentation which turned out to be high pressure. When we decided to not make a purchase, they gave us the "complimentary cruise for two". After spending hundreds of dollars and being passed on from one group to another, I never was able to get our cruise! This was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Betsyb57...If you have phone numbers, names, and other contact information, then I would invite you to put this out to the list so that others can use it to gain justice. Thank you.

This complaint was posted by me so that others could have the same level of understanding and clarity around the operations of Divine Getaways, Packaged Vacations, Fantasy Vacations, Package Vacations, LLC, and Global Holidays, Inc. For a number of weeks following it being posted on the Internet, I was in negotiations and discussions with Pastor Pierre Bennett, and Ms. Leslie Lenel in an attempt to work towards a settlement of this dispute. Pastor Bennett agreed to address my concerns by refunding my initial Vacation Membership Fee and paid an additional $2,000 to cover the cost of the free vacation that was initially promised. I agreed to post this message. This agreement has resolved this matter satisfactory. Pastor Bennett can be reached at pierrebennett1@yahoo.com and 12138 Central Avenue 664, Mitchellville, MD 20721, 703-956-5066. Ms. Lenel can be reached at Traderbaby@yahoo.com and 12020 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 100, Reston, Virginia 20191, 800-208-5503 or 571-533-5365.

One important correction on Pastor Pierre Bennett's address is listed with the Commonwealth of VA at 2127 Cabots Point Lane, Reston VA 20191. After searching on how to have Pastor Bennett served I sought an attorney and according to my attorney the address you listed on 12138 Central Avenue 664 is not associated or registered to Pastor Pierre Bennett so if your sending mail there your wasting your time. His address is 2127 Cabots Point Lane, Reston VA 20191.

Divine Getaways is a scam do not buy anything from them. I recently purchased one of their vacation plans, unfortunatly I did not do my research. After purchasing I google them on line and found numerous complaint and a "F" rating with the BBB. When I purchased it was on a Friday Memorial day weekend I so when i got home and did my research I had until Monday to cancel, so I thought I was pretty much screwed because of the holiday and had to purchase because it says you have 3 calender days to cancel. So I started to do research and found out that the cooling off law is actually 3 buisness days in the state of Texas. Buisness days are consider monday thur Friday holidays also do not count so dont let them say that you are too late to cancel. They try to tell me that ,but i sent them the copy of the 3 day cooling off law for Texas and reported them to the attorney general for texas, low and behold they appologized and gave me a full refund. Be aware it 6 months to get it back with these CROOKS. I spent about 30.00 dollars sending my cancelation letter certified mail and a copy of texas law, along with their stupid book remember make a copy of everything you send them because they will lie and say that did not receive anything. But it was well worth it saved me thousands of dollars. the old saying is true if it sounds to good to be true its usually not true. That is what divine getaways is a BIG LIE.
