Hi, First of all there is. I will have more information when the tax form is completed. Two comments: I posted several years ago that my neighbor was in management at the IRS - just retired and his comment at the time for us to claim a loss was to win the court case. That completed, I met with my CPA last week on a preliminary 2015 tax meeting. The Red Week postings of the lawyers statements of winning, the non appeal and the comments of other class action individuals of what is happening with the Belaire property was enough to start the deduction process on the actual cost basis of the property. Personally, I felt for awhile this was the best we could do. Good Luck !

It's another total lie, the documents they send are forged, the email addresses they use (which they keep changing) do NOT go to an actual Mexican agency, and so forth. No Mexican government agency exists to help individuals who have been scammed in timeshare fraud. There is no fund. Basically, if the word SUBPROCURADURIA is used in any timeshare related communication to you, you can be certain it's a scam. This has been heavily reported online. Do a search for that one word and you'll find a lot of information.
They cite themselves as working with or on behalf of several government agencies, most frequently CONDUSEF and P.G.R., but those claims are bogus and, again, the documents they proffer are forgeries. The email and website suffix for all Mexican government agencies ends like this: .gob.mx (dot gob dot mx) If it doesn't look like that, it is not an official Mexican government entity. End of story.

When I was there last year "someone else said, the someone I had never seen before, that his father had bought the property on a foreclosure". I will be in PV in a week and will let everyone know what is going on there now.

Is it just me or are there others who smell a rat in this effort to be vindicated? The law firms rep just mentioned several other entities that have come out of the woodwork trying to lay hold of some of the proceeds. I don't want to be pessimistic without cause, but it looks to me like what is developing is going to end up inflicting pain that will be even more severe then what we felt the 1st time, when we realized we had been screwed. Honestly folks, the chances of any of us seeing a dime out of this are a million to one. There are far too many unscrupulous people in the world, and many of them reside south of our border. I'm really sorry about all of this, especially those of you who lost perhaps much more then we did. Oh how I wish we would have declined that invitation back in '07 to ever visit that place. Damn the luck!!!

Went past the place today and nothing going on. Steel front doors locked and security booth abandoned. Signs posted saying "Private Residences of Mexico" on pillar and security booth went up in 2015. As noted previously, someone was doing sales there last year. Possibly the other bloodsucker, Jonothan? Apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. Looks like structure is deteriorating on property.

I was in PV for a week recently and didn't even bother myself to visit the building. It is already enough how much they hurt us and now I didn't want to spend a minute from my vacation wasting my time. They left no hope but a big lesson. I hope they will rot in jail and burn in hell.
