Timeshare Sell Scams
If they are suing you in small claims court (and what else would they be doing for such a small amount) just show up in court and give your side. Chances are you will win. The officials who preside over these courts usually have a lot of leeway in their decisions.

I doubt they will sue you for the money. It wouldn't be worth their time and money . Tell them not to call you again. That is your right. If they bother you again you can file charges against them. Tell them to pound salt.
Ask for everything in writing. They will disappear before your very eyes.

The Professional Advocate does NOT go after anyone. If that is what you heard then you were not listening. What they do is sell you information that you can use to do it yourself and 'yes' all this information can be found online if you choose to look for it. You can cook a hamburger at home but that doesn't stop you from going to McDonalds. So before you post something that makes you sound like you don't know what your talking about.....get the facts. One fact about these boards - anyone can post anything and there is no 'fact check'

Apparently you didn't read the post. She did have everything in writing. So now what?

Doesn't that sound eerily similar to the line that originally scammed you? "Pay us a large, upfront fee and we will miraculously get you some unexpected money."
By the way, it costs you nothing to file a complaint with the Attorney-General.

If anyone falls for the Professional Advocate crap that charges you $275 for info you can get yourself on the internet deserves what they get .... an instructional booklet of some sort, nothing more.

It's quite evident that you're a shill for Professional Advocate which is a scam.

Quite the contrary. What I am is a customer that used their product, followed the instructions and after a year got money back from the State because I followed the instructions. Sure I could have found all the information myself and they even told that I could but I'm just lazy and would rather pay someone to do the research. What got me started posting here is the post that said she paid with no result because of errors. Wow...guess nobody is perfect but then I did not read where they returned the product. Apparently they believe they should use something for free because of mistakes. I believe in them because I had results and its that simple.

My wife was contacted by The Pro Advocate so I decided to look them up. I read the complaint about the 434.00 and then I read more from donp and robertw. I am very confused. I understand dianer and her complaint and I read what robertw wrote but I don't know why donp is making the statement of the company being a scam. The company offered to sell my wife something like dianer said she received, I guess. robertw said they sold him information that he followed the instructions to success. donp says they are a scam. My wife and I don't have a lot of money so if someone can tell me why they are a scam I would be happy. Thank you.

Thank you donp196 for your reply but you still have not told me how they will rip me off. dianer and robertw said the got something that they had to do. So my question is if they sell me something, and I get it assuming I do as dianer got something, how can they rip us off. Did they rip you off?
donp196 wrote:They will take your money and do absolutely nothing. They will give you the run around and you will be back in the forum telling everyone how you got ripped off.

It's very simple. They promise you results verbally and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get your money. They send you a confusing contract with a lot of small print that states all they agrred to do was sell you paperwork. By the time you finally read through the paperwork they have your money and you get absolutely nothing in return.
It's your money. If you want to part with a few hundred dollars then go for it. You would be better off spending that money going our for a nice dinner and show. Then at least you will have gotten your moneys worth.

I just recieved a call from The Professional Advocate based out of Florida. A woman by the name of Jasmine, tried persuading me to pay a fee of $360 to recieve money back from fraudulent companies that had scammed me in the past. How she knew or obtained the information is beyond me. she guaranteed that when I pay, I will receive a packet in the mail regarding all this information of The Professional Advocate, what they are about and so on so forth. She claimed that her company would be able to go after these companies and award me my missing money plus interest basically upon what I paid them. I asked her to send me information first in the mail and she claimed she cannot until I pay the fee of $360. I told her I wouldn't be able to pay anything until August 15th. she gave me the website to their company to look at which is www.theproadvocate.com Another company lastyear tried giving me the same gimmick. I almost fell for it if it weren't for my fiancé stopping me after she did research on this certain company which was supposedly based out of Kentucky that wanted me to send money to a bank in California. Knowing that I shouldn't fall for a scam that requires paying a high fee of $360, I will pull out while I am still ahead.

They charge $275 , but they say they make the companies that they are going after pay you back the fee so you are really out no money. i need to kno if anyone else has had any dealing with them are they legit. thanks

I love reading these post and I agree with them 100%. In fact I don't think attorneys should charge retainers, I don't that fast food places should take your money BEFORE giving you your food, I don't think Amazon or Ebay should make you pay before you get what you ordered so I agree with all of those who don't think they should pay up front. I just wish they would expand their concern about paying up front to include all companies that charge an up front fee. Why just limit it to one or two or a few? Why is that?
Robert W.
I make a post and get accused of being a 'shill' because I paid a company, read the ONE page #10 type font, signed the contract, received what they said (which had a refund policy) and followed the instructions. (sorry donp196 thinks 1 page is a lot of paperwork - he probaby thinks one paragraph is an entire book). Didn't expect them to '' DO '' anything for me because they were quite up front that they were not a law firm, government agency, collection agency and did not provide a service. (reading it off my ONE PAGE agreement) I paid them for more information letters and sent them out. Did I get money the second time ....NO!!!!..... My attorney wanted $300 PER HOUR and would not make me any guarantee either. But I got exacty what I paid for, nothing more and nothing less. It might work for some but second time did not work for me but that does not mean the company is wrong or bad. So Mr. donp196 it is better to keep your mouth closed and let people that you are stupid than open it and remove all doubt. You either don't know what your talking about or you were a customer that did not get the result you wanted so you blame the company. I accept the responsiblity of making an additional purchase and not getting the result I wanted so all I can say to those asking questions....do your own research and make your own decisions. What happened to one does not mean it will happen to you....either way. I won't pay again but I am thankful I did the first time.

Surely you jest .... you're trying to compare apples to oranges above.
