Agree with the last poster so if you buy say a Wyndham/Shell or other vacations, you need to have a home resort that you really like. For an example with Wyndham, you buy at one of the resorts and although on point system, it gives you an advantage to book your home resort up to 13 months ahead instead of 12 if you own another resort booking during the peak times. So pick your home resort carefully and you must be diligent in booking ahead; otherwise, I would go with a fixed week. It depends on how you travel.
