You got to love the phone calls we are recieving from the " Mexican Federal Fraud Investigation Unit". Phone # 52-334-170-3545. The Attorney General informed me that this was fraud also. Be careful people!

People be aware this people the only they talk about is Money, Money, Money.

Mmm I’m an owner at coco sunset, I like the place the only thing I don’t like is people talking nonsense at this forum

I’m an owner that abeously don’t think I’m fool enough to buy in a place it’s not right I’m a lawyer and yes is expensive but if you want quality you have to pay for it.

Any way if you think this is a scam why someone had stop them they have the same location sense I whet for the first time and for 3 years they have not change of location.

Please people don’t let this people get your information, promising that they will help you that is not true they are only looking for MONEY.. If you read carefully the only thing they talk about is money be careful

And by the way coco sunset is at costa rica. So I don’t understand what you are doing in Mexico But just so you know in Costa Rica you can complain for any kind of inconformity that you have.

and i will be back... to tell every one that coco sunset is the best...

raulr41, I just stayed and Coco Sunset and it's a dump, plain and simple. They are now renting units to locals so you think you're living in a Costa Rican housing project.

Everybody else, believe what you've seen in this forum. raulr41 is of course a shill.

raulr41, obviously you are an uneducated attorney! More like a janitor at Cocosunset rip off club?

I believe these trolls speak English only slightly better Then my attempt at Spanish. Coco sunset , las Palmas , Costa Rica ...... Is a $hithole in an otherwise beautiful country. It will be a few years before I can visit again, but, Not in this area. I hope all the time share vampires that suck the wonderful Experience from people who saved their money for a vacation, and then come home and realize that they have been scammed, get The Karma they so deserve!

TO THE SHILLS/TROLLS/CROOKS/Friends of Crooks: Keep it up! Your attempts at defense are really hilarious -- not quite worth the thousands we've spent on "the dump," to use another poster's phrase, but almost. Raul is an attorney just like I'm a toreador. And you others: I like your humor, if not your ethics. IT'S WAR on the FORUM!!! Now I'll let you in on one other secret for ferreting out frauds: none of your "names" appear on any social network site - up until now you didn't exist!! We all can play that game: names, addresses, jobs -- all out of thin air! Just like your testimonials... TO THOSE WHO ARE THINKING OF BUYING: Unlike most others, I will not issue a blanket condemnation of Coco/Bahia. I will say that their sales folks are universally sleazy liars, that their management is worse, and that their owners are Italians with, let us say, an interesting past. If you, the potential buyer, can get past all that, truly love Costa Rica and intend to return every year, and don't mind seriously under-capacity sewers/drains, medieval furniture, and contributing to the GDP of the country through your hard-earned dollars and euros -- then I say: Go for It. Good luck! And finally: back to the SHILLS, etc.: do you really think your motivation will outlast ours? As you continue to insult this forum with your lies, you're really just embarrassing yourselves -- whoever and wherever you are. You're actually creating a dis-service to your cause, in that you're perpetuating all the dialog. As other posters have noted, for a while there were relatively few posts, leading to the possibility that we who were cheated would eventually lose enough anger so as not to monitor this site. Now, all you've done is stir us up again. Let's see how long this goes: we all like a good joke.

We also cancelled our credit cards used with the scum at Coco/Bahia. We were due our $2800.00 rent July of 2013. Trust me you will not see a penny from these scumbags. With that they will never see another cent from us. Karma Cindy Kidd and Monique! I hope the complex gets sucked into the ocean. I'm sure the employees will get spit back out.

Well said patrick! I took a break from Redweek because the true posts just made me more angry. I agree that this area of Costa Rica is a $hithole. Filty streets, crooks for employees at Coco/Bahia and the hookers downtown don't give good service if you are with your wife. The beaches were unbelievably digusting. We will not be going back!

We were scammed feb of this year . And canceled within eight days . But because we didnt do it in person . ( already home) Bill and his crooks will not let us out of this contract. We have contacted our credit card company and they reviewed the charge But they are siding with the las palmas crooks. So it looks as though we lost 10.000 to a very bad Decision . I hope that these slimy people get what they deserve.

It's interesting to see how much they have dropped their price. We "got" 4 weeks and paid 3 times what you paid for 6. Wow do I feel stupid. I even tried to find out what my trading value would be on RCI. Thought maybe I could redeem something from this financial disaster. RCI told me they are one of the few developments that handle the releasing of weeks themselves. I have been e-mailing off and on since Dec. to get an answer. Still waiting. I was supposed to get $2500 X 4 in May of 2013. Since good old Scott has disappeared, it sounds like he has been reincarnated into a new rental company......just moved from Springfield, IL to MO. I too, stop reading from time to time, because it makes my blood boil. You should see how my husband and I react when someone says the word "Time Share" when we are on vacation. I think we almost made one lady cry! I know so many people happy with their time shares. I guess the key is, know what you are getting into and only buy one in the US from good company. But.... I would NEVER buy one again under any circumstances. Jinger

They now have two resorts in town. The new one is Coco Bay Estates and they are calling the new scam the The Residence Club at Coco Bay, dealing with Interval International and the Luxury Leisure Alliance. They are up to the same tricks I am reading here. I wish I had read this before I purchased and I am currently trying to get my money back. The American owners of Coco Bay seem to be genuinely unaware of the scam being perpetrated at their resort. I ask for your help in contacting them to let them know what they are in for with these scammers/salespeople. Please send them an email telling them about your experiences with these crooks: jr.crdg@gmail.com, jc.crdg@gmail.com and gc.crdg@gmail.com The CRDG is The Costa Rica Development Group and seemed like a legitimate company before these scammers started selling their "fractional ownership". Please help me if you have been wronged by these animals. Thank you.

Wow. I can tell them a lot. I could send them the letters that went to the old owners. Did they buy from those brothers? If they did, they have a lot of trouble on their hands. I will get an e-mail off to them at once. It would be amazing to actually get a return e-mail from anyone. Jinger

I am also wanting out of my contract with coco bay estates luxury leisure. We have already spent more than expected and were told we could get rooms for 225 a week anywhere. We were to receive our contract and package within a month. We still haven't received our pkg and now realize it doesn't actually say anywhere 225. We log on to Las Palmas and there is no deals like we were promised. Are you having any success in getting your money back? We signed up back in early February and still have been getting run around. I feel so stupid now for signing anything.

It is incredible that this outfit is still up to their old tricks in Coco. It's been more that 2 years since we were scammed and people are still being lead around by the nose and into signing something that is just a fairy tale. There has to be some authority in Costa Rica that has the heart to protect us gullible tourists from these crooks, someone with the balls to seriously lean on these guys. Really, are the authorities actually this ignorant of what is going on or do they even care? CR is such a beautiful little gem and the people are so friendly. It must be why we got lulled and let our guards down so BEWARE! I miss CR and was seriously working my way to retire there but I'm very soured now.

If you invest in any Latin American country you have to know that corruption is part of life there. There is no remedy once you spent your money. So be very careful! Enjoy your vacation there but don't invest without sound legal advice.

i dont know if this would still work, but what i did was, a day after i signed with their time share and learned that it was a scam, i went to look for a lawyer in guanacaste before flying back to US and she helped me get my money back. i think credit card companies allows you to dispute transactions with in 300 days. thats why bahia turqueza promises to give you your money with in 300 days coz after that theres no way you can get your money back. sad to say but these guys really know how to play their game.
