I agree Carol! These were the first positive posts I have seen in over a year. Most likely the posts are coming from the crooks selling this scam.

You'd think those "posters" would be embarrassed to post such similar BS. Do they really think a few obvious fake comments planted by the resort can overcome 16 pages of negatives, stretching over five years? Let's just try to contact the couple in London, or the single in LA. Hah! In the past I've called people who post these "positive" comments trolls. Look it up. I think, though, that these posts are clearly beyond that -- they're fakes, or "plants." Probably, as noted above, from the crooks themselves, or their relatives. Actually, I've been surprised there haven't been more of these. Why do I think they're fakes? First. several posts use poor English, so the writers either are ignorant native speakers or, more likely, foreign. The crooks are evenly divided between American and Mexican (with, of course, a few high-level Italians thrown in). Second, they refer to Coco, whereas for the last year-plus the "real" tourists have been visiting Bahia (which, yes, is just another section of the overall complex, but, again, "Coco" is a tip-off that these folks aren't really tourists. There are two other "tells" in their posts, but I'm not going to reveal them -- can't let the bad guys into all our secrets!. It is a shame that the crooked sales team at Coco/Bahia with their fraudulent practices spoils the many attractions of Costa Rica...

Wow, It looks like there are funny things going on. If this place is so wonderful why are we $$$ poorer. I feel sad for the people that are stealing from us. We all worked hard for our money! They will probably never have peace as long as they take part in this scam. It's a very sad way to live. I can say that I forgive them and us for buying into this scheme. They won and we lost. But, I will never forget. And our sales person must have a very dark heart. And I never will go to Costa Rica again. That's even sadder. An expensive lesson. It does leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

We were scammed under the name of Omni Corp development in November of 2011. Promises, promises and nothing happened except that we are out $50,000. It would be great if we could recover some money. put us on your list.

So far we have not received any payments from Executive Properties for the rental of our units OR the selling of our timeshare. Meanwhile we continue to pay the maintenance fees on our timeshare and aren't even able to use it. Executive Properties needs to be taken down, they are taking in a whole lot of money and not paying out anything that we can tell. If anyone would like to share their situation or outcomes we would be more than willing to listen. I think if we join forces we may stand a better chance of recouping some of our money. Is there anyone interested in doing this?

Do you know or have you tried to find out the names or legal entity name of the owners of Villas Sol, Costa Rica, and/or this Coco Sunset Vacation Club? I do not believe we can do anything in the US, but, maybe, we can first find out who are the crooked owners and go from there. If and when you know, please publish it here. Thanks.

I do understand they are upset they want their money back..

Yes they have a point but they read the contract?

I’m one of the coco sunset owners that are happy, I’m 52 years old and

I love the opportunity to travel to such a nice place the only issue is the pleasure kit is something that they such not put in the doers. Any way this is something that makes me feel bad because when I was checking the pleasure kit what it was; my daughter came in the room

This is my experience with coco sunset.

judyw277 hahahaha

Yes that’s one of the problems the other is the food service takes some time more than 30 min to deliver when someone is hungry can’t wait to next time be faster more if I’m telling you that I’m hungry.. Here is a tip to have a better living How do you develop this happy living? You do it by implementing two ideas that are startling in their simplicity. 1. Learn to love people, to have faith in people. Do this and you will be happy. Above all else, get away from yourself. The most suffocating, sickening thing that can happen to a person is to become the victim of self-love or self-pity. Such a person judges everything on the basis of how it applies to himself.

The Apostle Paul warns us against “selfish ambition and conceit” and goes on to admonish each of us to “look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4). The more you practice self-love, the more discontent you will be with life. But if you give yourself to others in Christ-like love, if you are not cynical about them and believe in them no matter what they do, by some fundamental law of the universe you will be happy. Jesus was the greatest intellectual who ever lived. He cut through all red tape by asking, “You want to be happy? Then love people and trust them.” He tells us in the Gospels: “Do to others what you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12) and “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:22). If you want to be happy in an unhappy world, quit hating people. Quit hating those who disagree with you politically or philosophically. Quit hating those who have hurt you or cheated you or betrayed you. Just skip it. Go around loving people. Believe in them. Where all other books fail, the Bible succeeds because it gives us the technique for happy living in an unhappy world. “In him was life: and that life was the light of all mankind” (John 1:4). That is the answer. Love others as God loves you. 2. Let go of your worries and fears. A great many people are filled with anxiety. They fret; they are discouraged; they are restless. “What’s going to happen?” they ask. They expect the worst. They are filled with fears, apprehensions, insecurity. Consequently, they are tense, discouraged, panicky.

What does the Bible have to say about this? “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you” (Psalm 55:22). “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). And Jesus promises that if we submit to his lordship and wisdom, “you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29). Does this sound too simple? You will only find peace in Jesus, who is wise because He is so simple. It takes a greater intelligence to hold to simple truth than to struggle with involved problems. Trusting in Christ is the only the way to live happily in an unhappy world; it is the way to make the world happy. It will solve problems that cannot be solved any other way.

I recently traveled with my wife to Coco Sunset, Playa del Coco, Costa Rica.

As newlyweds, I can't think of a better vacation and honeymoon on earth, the condo-hotel was amazing, beautifully kept gardens, and amazing nature surrounding all the area, howler monkeys, and birds, it was an incredible experience, the green and the sea are to die for, definitely sailing is a must when visiting this area, it's hard to express the feeling when a school of dolphins is next you and you feel as if they came to say hi to the tourists. I highly recommend Coco Sunset and all of their amenities.

My Costa Rican vacation was an amazing experience. The only problems we had was with our condo at Coco Sunset Vacation Club. What I learned was that they put the Interval International people in a part of the resort that was closed. When they "re-opened" the condos they never painted the walls, updated the beds, appliances, etc. We had a countless amount of stains on the walls, it was gross. There were holes in the bathroom walls too. The appliances were old and one did not work. The shelves on the fridge were broken. We did not think the shelf would fall but it did, on my foot. There was glass everywhere but the maintenance people came right away.

The employees at Coco Sunset were really helpful and knew that giving Interval people closed condos was wrong.

Coco Adventures, located in Coco Sunset, is a great tourism company. All their tours are totally reasonable and exciting. We did the Arenal volcano tour, Ortega boat tour, and Adventure tour. Food was included and they took us to all amazingly delicious restaurants. Transportation was also included so we did not have to rent a car.

Playa Del Coco had so many great restaurants. Every place we ate was unforgettable. Papagayo's was the best! We ate at there 3 times.

The food at Coconuts was good but we learned that they have 2 American girls hustle for them. These 2 girls talk to other Americans and order drinks for them. When the bill comes they are out and the bill is almost double what it is suppose to be. This happened to us and 2 other guys.

This was my boyfriends-sister's condo and she gave it to us. When we told her about the room she was really upset and called Interval. Coco Sunset should be putting us in the new condos and not the once closed down and never re-done ones.

Many of these positive posts are copy and paste of las palmas Trolls from previous dates. Go through the comments from 2011 To 2014 and you will see what I mean.

I canceled my contract on the eight day and have been In contact with an attorney. I'm not sure if I'll ever see any of my money Returned , but at least I will not be sending them any more.

If you go to Costa Rica , enjoy the ticos, but beware of The American expats.

jeez now we are quoting the bible! what??? so we are supposed to just let things go and love everyone. get over yourself. this is a scam and they took and are taking advantage of a lot of people in the process. we tried to say no for the first offer of 50grand, then got suckered into a 10grand investment. it felt sickening actually. you were literally scared to walk out without signing papers, then to be told the next day that we had NO CHOICE and had to go through with it. I am sure if I would have raised a big stink it might have been cancelled, however saying that, when you are in a foreign country, you have no idea what might happen to you

The trick at this resort is that when you check in, you have to appear to be very interested in the timeshare pitch. Then they will "magically" have a much nicer room and "upgrade" you. They called that an "owner unit" when they upgraded us. Pity the poor owner who bought that unit! The furnishings were the cheapest crap imaginable, but at least it was decently clean and we did not have the troubles you did.

It's a black mark on Interval Intl that they keep hawking these bonus weeks to their unsuspecting clientele. I guess they haven't read this thread, or maybe they did but just don't give a care about what it does to their reputation.

Well said Joel! We were scammed out of 16k from the crooks at Cocosunset or whatever it's called today.I fought for a year and I had no luck getting our money back. My attorney said that we were scammed and that we just need to walk away and use it a s a learning lesson. I tried the BBB, Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission and Visa. We still lost due to the signed contract. They will not get another cent out of us in the future. People really to research this company before buying into it. We didn't! People, be aware of Cindy Kidd. She painted a pretty picture when selling us our unit but it was all lies. DO NOT be a fool and be pulled into this scam that Coco is selling!

dr282, Our attorney had an investigator go by Omni Corps. office in Springfiled, Ill. and an empty building sits there. Scott Riggs assured me that our $28,500.00 was being sent to us within the 300 day period. It has been well over 600 days and "nothing". Scott Riggs is a hefty fat boy in Mexico living off our money and laughing all the way to the bank.
