anyone been to this resort?
thank you Patrick. I did read every comment on this blog and there was nothing about this company, which is why I posted the question.
patrickt11 wrote:Yes, they are frauds, too. Please, when spending so much of your hard-earned money, take the time to review ALL these posts -- you'll find numerous methods the crooks are using to sound real. This is one of the better ones. Sometimes they used a "widow" on the phone, describing how she just wanted to share how these nice people had helped her. Other times, it's a sincere-sounding young man saying that he's working in the prosecutor's office going down a list of purchasers these now-arrested crooks had ripped-off. Oh, he sounds so eager to help, and on your side! He just needs a few facts to verify that he has the right person -- facts such as your bank account, social security number, etc. And then: why do they inevitably come back, sometimes weeks afterwards, and describe the "one last-second hang-up" preventing you from your refund? (Usually the "problem" is presented as the local authorities needing to get paid for overdue property taxes; but in that case, why should you be responsible, as any taxes should have been part of your maintenance fee -- and when you push back suddenly the "fraud team" no longer answers your calls?) Again, "if it sounds too good to be true -- it undoubtedly is!"

How did you contact Omnicorp? To my knowledge they have disappeared. Do you have a number? I'd love to chat with them again. I haven't been able to contact them for over a year.
Yes the Mexican gov. deal is just another fraud. I checked it out with several groups. They probably own Omnicorp.

Hi, Carolm, You're right -- yours was the first mention here. However, a search for "Mexican Fraud" came up with 16 hits. About half are for this group, and they're scattered among several timeshare forums. They also are known as the Mexican FBI or Mexican Investigation Bureau, etc. All have similar spiels. Apparently the same crooks have targeted at least several other timeshares. We really need to play whack-a-mole here, except a mole is way too polite a term for these crooks...

RE: the Mexican Fraud Investigation Bureau
I have no doubt that these crooks are a spin off of the Coco Sunset, Bahia Turquesa fraud. They already know we were taken twice, once by Coco Sunset, and once by Omnicorp, so why not a third time.
Hope these people all meet in jail someday.

We just bought weeks in Villas Sol, Costa Rica, for the same $7,5 K, and we are very suspicious. We took no further action yet and do not have any proof either way.
bonnies205 wrote:We just got back from Costa Rica and we bought into the package. At the time it sounded like a good investment, but once we got home we went online to investigate and read many disturbing comments. Has anyone received their rental payments? We were promised $7500 each year for the next 10 years and they bought our old time share. Any information would be helpful. Please reply!

I too have no doubt that (at least some) Villas Sol salesmen are in on this fraud. One of the worst offenders at Coco/Bahia (and he really was such a friendly guy, with a nice girlfriend who's now his wife) was Travis Scott Gogue (who now has dropped his last name and goes by Travis Scott -- apparently he was tired of hearing from his victims under his real name). Travis came from Villas Sol. An online forum in 2007 called him out as a fraud, so this thing goes back at least that far. And this fraud is metastasizing all over, especially into Mexico (where the gang apparently has their headquarters in Puerto Vallarta). You should try to get your money back -- you have 8 business days to notify Villas Sol, but they may waive even that if you're persistent and threatening enough. But even if that doesn't work, you have time to notify your credit card company to put a stop on payment. Use this forum as your evidence. Good luck!

I recently found this website and have a situation identical to yours. Not rentals and no purchase of the old timeshare. From reading subsequent posts it would appear that they have changed their name several times and moved the fraud to other locations.
karlas52 wrote:mikec650 wrote:You may add our name to this list. We have spoken with an attorney and also are contacting State Attorney General's office in our state. So far we have not received any payments from Executive Properties for the rental of our units OR the selling of our timeshare. Meanwhile we continue to pay the maintenance fees on our timeshare and aren't even able to use it. Executive Properties needs to be taken down, they are taking in a whole lot of money and not paying out anything that we can tell. If anyone would like to share their situation or outcomes we would be more than willing to listen. I think if we join forces we may stand a better chance of recouping some of our money. Is there anyone interested in doing this? There's been a lot of discussion concerning the legality of the dealings by Coco Sunset Vacation Club and whether Executive Properties has fulfilled their agreements. We too have possibly foolishly taken the bait. We are exploring our options and are hopefull that some one out there can provide advice and direction. Sounds like we can all benefit by sharing our game plans. josephs32, peggyh97, harryd40, roberth967, ginab131, leannp7, gauthierg, dannyo12, bonnies205 ... WHAT SUCCESS HAVE YOU HAD RECOVERING YOUR INVESTMENT FROM COCO SUNSET AND/OR EXECUTIVE PROPERTIES AND WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

here is my experience.
Having stayed at Las Palmas 4 times in the last year, there is not another resort in Guanacaste that compares. Great location, excellent guest services staff, great restaurants. Pools and suites are beautiful and perfectly maintained. What makes this resort so special is the attention to detail. When you walk through the front door, anything you want is yours, with great big smile. Kuddos to the staff for a job well done.

Absolute paradise. Wonderful atmosphere. Amazing staff. Las Palmas feels like a friends vacation home who invited you to stay with them.
RELAXATION: Coming from the hustle and bustle of NYC, this place was paradise, astonishingly quiet and peaceful. Located in Guanacaste, it felt as if it was just you an nature. The staff made sure to accommodate any special needs or requests you may have. The most relaxing part was that the staff did literally everything for you.
STAFF: The entire staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly. While not all of the staff spoke English, this was not an issue.
We cannot wait to go back and stay for another week!

Better than I could have imagined, Las Palmas lives up to it's name on every level. I recommend it to everyone. I have brought the peace and serenity home with me and continue to feel the joy, even being here snowed in today!

My cousin went to Las Palmas last January and recommended it, so we booked a week. It was better than I could have imagined it being and I had pretty high expectations. It's a tropical paradise and I didn't want to leave. Never has my head been so clear and never have I felt so relaxed! Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

The moment we arrived at Las Palmas we could see we were going to have a great time. There was a racoon reclining on the reception floor! Our room was on the same level and close to reception. It was split level, spacious, with a big balcony over the gorgeous gardens. The bed was nice and very comfortable. We were impressed by the attentive and enthusiastic staff, who seemed to work as a good team. Our concierge arranged us two brilliant excursions to Palo Verde NP and to watch the turtles laying eggs. The position of the resort, the dining options, the food, the lovely swimming pool, the troop of howler monkeys, in the garden trees, the cheeky magpie jays, the beach and lively little town all added up to a great stay before heading back to wet and dreary England. This a very well managed and attractive resort.

Hey Im reading all this post. Coco sunset is a great place.. I think is important that every one says what they think its right.. Well what I want to say is I havent heard from some one getting forced with a gun in there head.. Obtusely they push very hard and I was one of the buyers, but if you read what they offer and you are willing to pay, the correct price is a great deal.
Any way I just feel like many people can say what they want Thats why we have this site?? Free expression and my recommendation read what you buy so that later you dont cry and lie to get you money back.
