That's true but the problem is that the sales people won't give you the gift that was promised until they feel they are done with you. People who come to these sales presentations come in for the gift.

Lance,
Trust me, I leave gift in hand always. All you have to do is raise your voice just a few decibels within earshot of potential buyers about the resale market and you’ll be quickly escorted to the gift shop. Works like a charm😀

Just don't go. The gift is not worth it. And accepting a gift creates an obligation to the giver. The value of the vacation time you will spend in that horrible sales pressure situation is much less that whatever trinket or excursion you receive in return. It is much easier to say no up front.

Yes, Donna, after going to several of these "timed presentations" I want to scream in the middle of the room, "NO, I DON'T WANT TO BUY ANYTHING!!!" I've also thought of handing out flyers to all the poor people sitting in the hot seat: "Just say NO!" Those presentations are brutal! You were smart to stick up for yourself and say NO!

I couldn't have said it any better. Wasted time is never returned and wasting valuable vacation time getting "worked over" by aggressive and hungry sales weasels just to obtain a trinket, coupons and / or a free rubber chicken dinner is well beyond my ability to comprehend. Life is too short to voluntarily endure such deceitful exagerrations, outright lies and psychological manipulation for so very little "reward".
Keep your little "gift" --- the answer is NO. Now step aside so that I may enjoy my vacation without listening to another word of your nonsense.
