Yes, I am interested in any info on Timeshare Relief. I am thinking of having a lawyer go over the "online" statement/contract to see if it is legit. Am very worried since there are so many scams and we are seniors, no mortgage,do not use it and cannot afford the maintenance fees. Would love to just give it away FREE. Know anyone? I am interested in any legitimate company that will help sell our vacation weeks. I don't mind paying fees and even commissions as long as I'm not being scammed or mislead.
I guess it will be an exposure site where we sell or rent our own weeks for free and after the sale share a small % with the site for expenses??

This is an absolute scam. I am estate planner in Tn. One of my 82 yr. old clients got pressured into this scam. He contacted me once the contract arrived by mail. I read over it for him and told him not to sign. He did not. However, since this group managed to get his credit card number, they charged his card to the tune of 4200. They said that since he had made an agreement on a recorded line, he was contractually bound. This is not true. Contracts are bound only by signature. We are currently working with the credit card company to dispute his charge. This company is bad news and preys on people who may not clearly understand that they will benefit in no way by this transaction. Beware!

Timeshare Relief and other similar companies are called post card companies. They send out post cards telling people they will rid you of your unwanted timeshare, however they want $3000-$4000 from you in doing so. Then they turn around and put it on Ebay for $1.00. They've already made their money upfront.

We just attended a presentation with a company called Timeshare Relief Inc. Has anyone had any experiance with that Co. They wanted $3500 for one week and $4200 for two weeks to end all obligations to the timeshare that we own. Than they said that we could write off all the loss from purchase price and the amount they charged to get rid of the timeshare aginst capital gaines and never have to pay another maintaince fee again. Our timeshare is now going to charge an extra assessment plus maintaince to the total of just under $1,000 per week on a timeshare that we could not sell for $500. Also it is available for extra weeks on RCI for under $400. Need IdeasI got rid of one by paying $300.00 to a trust listed on ebay. It is listed under get rid of your timeshare. He bought mine, while I owed $1200.00 in back fees. He sent me a copy of the recorded deed proven that he finished his comitment to me. I also have not recieved any more letters from the resort. So I would suggest if you can not sell your unit to go to ebay and try him before paying a fortune to these other rip of companies.

How this guy operates is he takes the TS knowing he will not pay the MFs. He then dumps it in a trust and then tells the resort the trust has no money and cannot pay the MFs. It borders on fraud and if he is ever challenged, you could find yourself holding the deed again (deed recorded for fraudulent purposes can be declared invalid).
