Re: We Collect Timeshares, LLC

[Q=ken1193] [Q=william8] I tell you what.. Go look at this website www.thecharitygroup.com and then come back and comment on what you think you can do with your timeshare that you want to get rid of..You will certainly be pleased with this group as they do wonderful work and most of the time they don't sell the timeshares. They use them as getaways for company workers or gifts of a free week in another city for poor families that would otherwise never have a vacation because of finances. Take a look. It is another choice other than "We Collect" and you get out of the "chase" to get rid of your timeshare..And your childen will be spared the horrible life of neverending maintenance fees that will burden them forever (a quote from We Collect personnel) You're welcome..[/Q] While donating a timeshare to charity is certainly a fine and noble idea (and a potential tax deduction), the simple reality is that far more such offers of "donation" are rejected than are accepted. Recipients are smart enough to know that they are, in essence, "accepting" an annual maintenance fee bill obligation along with this "gift". The "gift" immediately translates into an ongoing bill. MOST charities, MOST of the time simply say "no thank you"..........[/Q] WHO DO YOU WORK FOR? I have spoken to at least 4 couples who wished to "get rid" of their timeshare and that has been over a two year period. NONE of them has had any problem in donating their timeshare. There isn't just one charity out there to donate to. The Kidney Foundation actually has a specialist who deals with donations of real property and timeshares full time. I have actually spoken to this individual and the major reason for the declination of timeshares is that the owners are not truthful, are behind in their payments or there is litigation underway at the resort property which involves the current owners. All I am saying is you have to take the time to check it out. It won't happen overnight and there may be a time when you will have to actually talk to a real human being..You want to be "rid" of your timeshare, you need to become involved, do some research and stop listening to the naysayers of doom. "We Collect Timeshares" may proclaim to be the savior of the kept people of RCI and II properties but THERE IS ANOTHER OPTION. You're welcome. OK WCT, your turn..
