How does the RedWeek full-service resale program work?
The RedWeek full-service resale program is the most comprehensive in the industry and ensures a safe transaction for owners and buyers alike. After purchasing your full-service posting, your RedWeek resale team will:
- Set a price:
A licensed real estate broker will recommend a competitive asking price for your timeshare for your consideration. Competitive pricing greatly improves your chances of a successful sale. - Verify ownership:
We verify your unit details directly with the resort/developer. Accurately portraying your timeshare is a top priority for real estate transactions. Note: depending on the responsiveness of your resort this may take as many as ten (or more) business days. - Create your posting:
Your resale team will create your resale posting and provide you with the link so you may review it. Posting edits can be made by your resale team at any time; just email us. - Field inquiries:
Interested buyers will contact your resale team directly with offers. All offers will be presented for your consideration by a licensed real estate broker. - Finalize sale and transfer title:
A licensed real estate agent will negotiate the final sale details with the buyer, distribute sale contracts to both parties, and employ the services of a licensed closing company to ensure a legal transfer of the timeshare ownership.

How do I purchase a full-service resale posting?
Purchasing a RedWeek full-service resale posting is quick and easy! Just head to our full-service resale page and complete a short ownership information form. Not sure of all your ownership details? No problem. As long as you know the name of your resort or vacation club, we can find the rest.
-
What is the cost of selling my timeshare full-service?
Full-service resale postings are $125, and run for up to 12 months. Upon a successful sale, our brokers will take a modest fee of $899 or 3% of price, whichever is greater. Should your resort/developer exercise a "right of first refusal" and step in as the buyer, they must follow the same terms and conditions of the contract submitted to them by the broker. Any commissions agreed upon in said contract will be paid.
If your buyer comes in with ther own broker, they may have a separate commission agreement that may override ours. This will be detailed for you when we present the offer, and you can choose whether to accept.
-
Do I pay a commission on resales?
Our commission rates are among the lowest in the industry. After your timeshare sale is finalized, our brokers will collect their $899 or 3% of price, (whichever is greater).
If your buyer comes in with their own broker, that broker's commission structure may override ours. If this is the case, we will detail this for you in the offer and you can decide whether to accept the offer with commission modifications.
-
Are there any hidden RedWeek fees with full-service resales?
Nope! You only pay the $125 posting fee, and the $899 or 3% of price once a sale is complete (see above regarding offers made by another broker and how that may affect commissions - you will always be given full details before accepting the offer, with no obligation to do so).
Some resorts charge a fee to complete our required unit verification form*. This fee is paid directly to the resort/developer and, as such, is not included in the $125 RedWeek posting fee.
* Every full-service customer must sign a unit verification form. This form allows us to confirm your ownership information directly with the resort to ensure your posting is as accurate as possible.
-
Are closing costs included with my full-service purchase?
No. Closing costs are paid directly to the closing company and will vary based on closing company, sale price, and timeshare interval being sold.
-
How much are closing costs?
Closing costs will vary by closing company, sale price, and timeshare interval being sold. There are many variables that determine closing costs, including: closing company fees, title transfer fee, attorney fees (if any), estoppel fees, and notary fees (if any). Your assigned broker will be able to quote closing costs as part of the sale process.
-
Are there taxes to be paid at the time of sale?
At this time, we are aware of two different types of taxes that will be collected during the closing process for certain buyers and sellers:
- HARPTA - a 7.25% Hawaii State Tax for non residents selling property in Hawaii
- FIRPTA - a 15% Foreign Investor Tax charged to foreign sellers selling deeded US property
-
How will I receive inquiries to my posting?
All inquiries to your full-service posting will be fielded by one of our licensed real estate brokers and presented to you by email and/or phone for consideration.
-
Who are your brokers?
RedWeek has partnered with some of the best brokers in the business, offering decades of timeshare resale experience. We hope you'll take a moment to meet our brokers.
-
Do your brokers represent the buyer, seller, or both?
RedWeek's brokerage partners are transaction brokers as dictated by Florida law. As such, they provide a limited form of representation to both buyers and sellers in a real estate transaction, but do not represent either in a fiduciary capacity or as a single agent. Please view the Florida Transaction Broker Notice for the duties of the real estate licensee in this form of representation.
-
What if I have multiple timeshares to sell?
If you have more than one timeshare to sell, we can certainly assist you. Just complete an ownership information form for each interval being sold. To receive the maximum benefit from your full-service posting, only one interval may be advertised in a posting.
-
I haven't received confirmation of my full-service resale purchase
Immediately following the purchase of your full-service resale posting, you will receive an email from resales@redweek.com confirming your purchase and outlining the full-service resale process. If you do not receive this confirmation email, it is likely due to a spam filtering issue. Please be sure to add resales@redweek.com and support@redweek.com to your email 'Safe Sender' list, and contact RedWeek Resales to notify us of your email issue and to confirm your email address.
-
Can I choose my own closing company when I use full-service?
Yes. As long as the closing company is licensed and reputable, we are happy to work with them.
-
Can I sell a floating week, vacation club membership, or points?
Not a problem. We deal in all types of timeshare ownerships including points, vacation club memberships, fixed and floating weeks, deeded and right-to-use.
-
